As a school, we have been very impressed with the standard of the sessions delivered to our pupils across all age groups ranging from Nursery to Year 6. Nigel’s behaviour management is very good and he expects high standards from all pupils. Week in, week out there are a range of resources that are used to ensure that sessions are continuously interesting for all pupils. There is clear progression across all year groups and he encourages all children to do their very best. In addition, Nigel encourages children to praise those that may find the skills taught challenging. There is a huge emphasis on discipline, self-respect and respect for others.
We would definitely work with Nigel again in the future and would recommend him to anyone considering running martial arts workshops in school.

Both my children have thoroughly enjoyed and benefitted from an after school HKC class run by Nigel Smart, and my daughter in particular has excelled under his tutelage and is now doing competitive sparring, which she loves. I would recommend the classes to anyone who wants their children to have fun whilst learning important life skills.

My daughter loves her karate tuition with HKC and thoroughly enjoys every lesson. It has vastly improved her fitness, stamina, confidence and concentration as well as giving her self-defence skills.
